This was my first 35mm camera after I sold off my Nikon (35mm) gear and came from my friend Nancy Keith. It was produced by Minolta from 1977 to 1984. I started doing research on this camera. Minolta was helping Leica to develop a SLR body. It is very compact even with a motor drive. It fits well in my hands. It is so much lighter than a Nikon FA with a motor drive. Minolta was also my father’s favorite camera brand. In the photo, I have recently bought a 200mm macro lens with extension tube mounted on a macro focusing rail (red). I am planning some macro photo projects. I have tried the project with a Hasselblad setup with extension tubes. That setup was just a bit too large. Compared to Nikon FA, the dials are much easier to use while shooting in manual exposure mode.
