Born and raised in Hong Kong, David Chui left home in 1975 to attend university in Ontario, Canada, where he received a bachelor degree in Water Resources Engineering to be followed by a master degree in Environment Science & Engineering from the University of Washington in Seattle. His career as a consultant and engineer spanned environmental design, transportation, project management and software development. His photography, produced as note cards and framed limited edition photographs, has been sold at fine furniture and gift stores as well as in art galleries. His self-published book, Journey of an Apple: From Lake Chelan to Hong Kong, came out in 2010. David is currently enrolled in the certificate program at the Photographic Center Northwest in Seattle.
